Mine is kind of a fairy tale - it's insane.

In 2023, I wasn't ovulating. My gynecologist told me, "I really think you're going to need fertility help." She gave me a list of referrals for fertility clinics in New York City, and every single one was booked out for months. Then, ten minutes after hanging up with one of them, I got a call back: "We actually have a doctor, Dr. Kimberly Thornton, with an opening tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning." I had less than 24 hours to decide if I was ready. I called my husband and said, "You ready to start this journey?" He said, "Let's do it."

Dr. Thornton looked beyond the blood tests. She asked if I lost a lot of hair - and I did. I always thought it was just because I was South Asian. Turns out, hair loss is actually tied to PCOS. A transvaginal ultrasound confirmed it: "You have so many eggs - that's a telltale sign.

You definitely have it. But the eggs don't want to mature."

I call them, like, egg mates. The other egg mates stayed on to help my son grow as an egg."

From being told I wasn't ovulating… to being told I was pregnant. It literally is like a miracle."

She prescribed Letrozole and Provera to regulate my cycle - and then, somehow, my body just naturally got a period on its own. I took that as a sign.

I went all in. Smoothies with pineapple and maca powder every single day. Cut out alcohol.

Cut down from three cups of chai to one - which, as a caffeine addict, was a huge deal. Meditations, deep breathing. I really manifested it in my mind.

And then the most magical part: I released two eggs from my right ovary. My son was the bigger one. The smaller egg stayed and formed a cyst, which sounds scary, but it was actually a good cyst. I call them egg mates. That little egg stayed on, producing extra progesterone to help my son grow, until it eventually absorbed into the placenta around nine weeks.

From being told I wasn't ovulating… to being told I was pregnant. It literally is like a miracle.
